Proverbs: The Heart May Sorrow

article by Amanda Stiver, Mario Seiglie

Wisdom that sticks with you - straight from God's Word.

"Even in laughter the heart may sorrow, and the end of mirth may be grief." (Proverbs 14:13)

You can't be sure what is truly going on in a person's life by looking at his or her face. Behind a smile there might be a lot of grief, so don't take things at face value.

If you want to know the truth of the matter, you have to take a deeper look.

Become a thoughtful and empathetic listener. Make an effort to reach outward and develop a genuine concern for those around you.

Who will you hear today? What can you do to develop better listening skills?
