"Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty!" (Proverbs 14:23, NLT)
The apostle John also has the same thought: “My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth,” (1 John 3:18). The modern equivalents of this proverb are, “Talk is cheap” and “Walk the walk, don't just talk the talk.”
Even in our every day lives, a strong work ethic leads to a steady income. Get rich quick schemes sound good, but don't deliver in the end.
