Proverbs: The Road to Life

article by Amanda Stiver, Mario Seiglie

Wisdom that sticks with you - straight from God's Word.

"Wise people walk the road that leads upward to life, not the road that leads downward to death," (Proverbs 15:24, GNB).

The idea here is to focus on the higher principles of life, not the lower ones.

"If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth, (Col 3:1-2, NKJV).

Where is your forcus? There are two Spanish proverbs that illustrate this point, "The pig doesn’t look above its snout," and the other says, "Two looked through prison bars, one saw mud, the other, stars."

Which road are you on right now? What can you do to make sure you are on the upward road?
