Wisdom that sticks with you - straight from God's Word.
“Whoever is greedy for unjust gain brings trouble to his family, but whoever hates bribes will live,” (Proverbs 15:27, GW).
On an individual level, a person can incur great debts and bring trouble to his family if involved in trying to make a fast buck in a wrongful way or by taking money on the sly (bribery).
On an institutional or national level, when corruption or bribery becomes the accepted practice, it eats away at the morality of the people and gradually more and more harmful or sinful behaviors become commonplace. Ultimately, this leads to destruction. It sounds severe, but it's true.
What forms do unjust gain and bribery take in our technologized world? How do you avoid them?
